About Carleton Musical Theatre Society

The Carleton Musical Theatre Society (CMTS) is a student-run organization dedicated to creating, promoting, and celebrating musical theatre at Carleton University. Our mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space where students from all programs, and the greater Ottawa community, can collaborate, express themselves, and grow through the performing arts.

We strive to:

  • Produce high-quality, student-led musical theatre that entertains and inspires.

  • Empower students to develop skills in performance, leadership, technical production, and arts management.

  • Foster a vibrant arts community on campus that values creativity, collaboration, and diversity.

  • Connect Carleton students with the broader Ottawa arts scene, enriching both campus life and the community through accessible, engaging performances.

At CMTS, we believe the stage is more than a spotlight — it’s a platform for growth, a catalyst for connection, and a celebration of student voices.
